District Lodge No. 3 Sons of Norway
Charitable Trust |
Our Purpose
The Charitable Trust was established
primarily to assist those members of the
Third District who, having few other resources, need help from us,
their
Brothers and Sisters. |
|
How We Do It
The Trust Fund’s
earnings, along with contributions, are
used to finance aid to selected beneficiaries.
The Chair of the Trust, the Third District Counselor, plus three
Trustees, the Third District President, Vice President, and Treasurer
administer
the Trust. |
|
Beneficiaries
The Trust relies upon our Lodges and
membership to forward
the names of potential applicants. The
beneficiaries are selected based upon consideration of age, infirmity,
family
and assets. All aspects of the selection
process and results are strictly confidential.

|
How You Can Help
Have your Lodge do a
fundraiser on our behalf on a scheduled
annual event. Keep us in mind when you
are planning your estate, or when you expect to receive memorial
funds. Please remember us when you are reviewing
your charitable donations. Personal contributions
are always welcome. It is equally
important that you take the initiative to notify us if you think that
one of
our members may need our assistance.
Your identity will never be disclosed outside of our small committee. |
|
Why Us?
This fund operates to
help our own Brothers and
Sisters. Someone you know may already be
a beneficiary. The administrators of
this are all unpaid volunteers – resulting in essentially all of our
monies
being used for our stated purpose.
Donations, of course, qualify as tax deductible. |
|
Where To Reach Us
The most direct route
is to contact an officer in your
Lodge, Zone, of the Third District Counselor.
He will gladly accept donations from those who want to help us.
He will also follow up discreetly on any Sons
of Norway member who may be in difficulty to see if our Trust Fund can
help. |
